Children's Ministry

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate." (Psalm 127:3-5)

The Scriptures encourage and teach us that our children are a "gift" from God. As parents we have the privilege and responsibility of training them in the knowledge and fear of God as well as preparing them for their futures. The primary role of the church is to help equip parents to fulfill their roles as father and mother. So, each Sunday morning a small army of volunteers help teach the children to know God, to worship Him, to respect authority, to grow in character and obedience to God's Word, and to glorify God with their lives.

Our younger and older children's ministry classes are coordinated to study the same lessons each week, adapted to the level of the children being taught. During the week we have family devotions available to lead the children through ongoing study based on that lesson. This 3-year curriculum that will take our children through the Old and New Testament and includes Scripture memory. Within the context of our Early Children's Ministry (pre-school and younger), we seek to care for the little ones by teaching them biblical truths through Bible stories and singing.
